Hatch Mansfield MD Ben Knollys has joined the board of trustees at The Drinks Trust.
Knollys, who has worked in the drinks industry for nearly 30 years, will bring experience spanning organisational development, team leadership and the wider wine trade to the board.
Founded in 1886, the charity provides vocational, practical, emotional and financial support to people working across the UK drinks industry.
Hatch Mansfield said it has been a longstanding supporter of the charity as part of its wider commitment to giving back to the trade and local community, with Knollys’ appointment reflecting both his personal backing for the organisation and the company’s ongoing support for its work.
After studying French and Italian at the University of Exeter, Knollys began his career in 1995, holding roles at the International Wine Challenge, Berkmann, Lea & Sandeman and Fuller’s, where he completed his WSET Diploma in Wines & Spirits. He joined Hatch Mansfield in 2002 before being appointed MD in 2021.
Established in 1994 by Patrick McGrath MW alongside producers including Louis Jadot, Errazuriz and Villa Maria, Hatch Mansfield today represents 26 independently owned wineries in the UK market, including Champagne Taittinger, Gaja, Louis Jadot and Villa Maria.
“We are honoured to welcome Ben to the board and look forward to the insight and expertise he will bring to The Drinks Trust,” a spokesperson said.
