The fifth Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris, which took place this week, saw both international exhibitor and visitor numbers lift.

In a post-event statement, organisers said exhibitor numbers rose to 4,074 representing 48 producer countries – a 53% increase in international exhibitors. Visitor attendance increased by 14% on the previous exhibition to 41,253 and included 41% international visitors from 137 countries.

Organiser also highlighted the Be Spirits section, with 26 producer countries and “an extra 47% floor space” compared to 2023.

“The hall designed for spirits, no/lows, beers and ciders attracted buyers and mixologists from across the globe,” organisers said. “The robust programme of debates and masterclasses aimed at deciphering markets, exploring the most revolutionary products and responding jointly to the business issues of the future attracted a full house.”

As part of the show, panel discussions, masterclasses and conferences took place across the exhibition halls. To read the Drinks Retailing summary of How Waitrose is making its wine portfolio more sustainable click here.
