The producers of premium spirits Wild Knight Vodka and Nelson’s Gold have now added a gin to their portfolio.

Boadicea Gin has been handcrafted in East Anglia, and it is distilled from Royal Norfolk barley and blended with ancient botanicals.

The name of the gin was chosen due to East Anglia’s historical position as the land of the Iceni, the ancient British tribe led by warrier Queen Boadicea, famed for her uprising against Roman rule in the first century.

Boadicea Gin (rsp: £30) is the creation of husband and wife team, Matt and Steph Brown, who created Founding Drinks when they launched Wild Knight Vodka in 2016 and Nelson’s Gold, a caramelised vodka liqueur, last year.

Steph Brown said: “Boadicea Gin came about as we saw an opportunity to create something really special which ties in perfectly with our part of the country.”

Boadicea will be distributed in the UK by Hammonds of Knutsford.
