WiseHead Productions has launched a portfolio of zero proof drinks in order to “define a new category of non-alcoholic, sophisticated drinks for adults to enjoy during the moments they choose not to drink alcohol”.

The portfolio will launch in Waitrose and Ocado this week.

The collection contains three “Aperizero” serves, which are described as being lightly sparkling and versatile in flavour, and are designed to be drunk as an alternative to an aperitif.

The company said its T&E No.1 has “the elegance of a fine white wine or vermouth”, while Monte Rosso offers the bitter and sweet enjoyment of an Italian spritz. The third of these, The London Essence Company sodas, are naturally light at under 20kcal per 10cl, while also being aromatic and refreshing, it said.

Co-founder of WiseHead, Ounal Bailey, said: “We are bringing the portfolio to market at a time when people are drinking less, better and leading increasingly balanced lifestyles. I feel passionately that people should enjoy creatively crafted, exceptional drink on the occasions they choose to to drink alcohol and so we have developed Britain’s first zero proof portfolio to elevate the non-alcoholic drinks category.”

Each brand in the portfolio is crafted using carefully selected ingredients.

T&E No.1 has a blend of up to 22 botanicals and green fruits. It is steam-distilled and filtered through charcoal.

Monte Rosso is a bittersweet blend of wild mountain berries, handpicked botanicals, Venetian style bitters and fruit extracts, with a touch of citrus for a zesty finish.

And the naturally light sodas from the London Essence Company are crafted with distilled essences and they come in aromatic flavours of Rhubarb & Cardamom and Grapefruit & Lemon Verbena.
