Kingsland Drinks will now produce 100% of Vinca’s aluminium wine bottles, expanding on the canned wine formats it already manufactures for the organic wine company.

According to Kingsland, the move reflects its continued investment in alternative packaging formats, helping to meet growing demand for more sustainable, lightweight and recyclable options.

Commenting on the partnership, Kingsland said aluminium bottles offer a compelling alternative to glass due to their significantly lower weight.

At present, an aluminium bottle weighs around 70g, compared with an average glass bottle weight of 450g, delivering up to four times lower CO₂ emissions and reducing Extended Producer Responsibility fees, which are calculated by weight.

On the partnership, Paul Braydon, director of business development and marketing at Kingsland Drinks, said: “Alternative formats are no longer niche – they’re becoming an essential part of how the wine category evolves.

“We already produce Vinca’s full canned range and extending that partnership into 75cl aluminium bottles is a natural next step. It reinforces our role as a long-term, full-service partner that invests in infrastructure and technical advancement ahead of demand to support our customers’ ambitions.”

Jack Green, cofounder of Vinca, added: “Aluminium bottles are already an important part of our range, delivering the sustainability benefits we care about while retaining the familiarity of a 75cl bottle for consumers.

“Bringing production to Kingsland Drinks gives us greater confidence around quality, scale and long-term partnership, while allowing us to localise production closer to market.”
