Global wine manufacturer Vinarchy is expanding its mini boxed wine portfolio with the launch of Jam Shed Sauvignon Blanc and Echo Falls Summer Berries Fruit Fusion, both in 1.5L formats.

The company said the decision reflects a growing trend in boxed wine, with sales currently up 35% year-on-year.

Within this, Jam Shed currently generates £8.5m in annual sales with 4.8% year-on-year growth, making it the UK’s third-largest boxed wine brand.

On the expansion, Vinarchy noted it has a continued focus on offering accessible wines in convenient, lower-waste formats.

It further said that the Echo Falls boxed wine has been launched in Tesco and Sainsbury’s this month, and Jam Shed is currently available in 370 Sainsbury’s stores.

Tom Smith, marketing director for Europe of Vinarchy, added: “With summer in full swing, we’re excited to bring even more choice to shoppers who are looking for great-tasting, convenient or accessible wine. We know consumers love the fruit-forward flavour profiles of Jam Shed and Echo Falls, and now they can enjoy them in a format that’s all about ease and enjoyment – whether that be a picnic in the park or a weekend barbecue!”
