Vagabond has announced the launch of its new direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform, in tandem with its on-trade presence.
Accessible via the Vagabond website and app, the platform allows users to order wines and upcoming Urban Winery releases with next-day delivery.
Based on a similar model to Vagabond’s taps, wines are merchandised by style with over 50 SKUs to browse.
Customers can also explore winemaker stories and access personalised recommendations.
The news of the DTC platform comes as Vagabond’s Urban Winery opens, set to launch on 4 December.
The company has confirmed that the liquids from the winery will be for sale via the website and app. Delivery is supported by logistics partner Enotria.
Christobell Giles, MD at Vagabond Wines, said: “Vagabond has always been about discovery; now that journey doesn’t stop when you leave the bar. Many of our customers discover us while travelling, or they visit our bars but live outside London. Now they can explore wines on the taps, see personalised recommendations in the app and have a case on their doorstep the next day.”
John Colley, group CEO and executive chairman, added: “Vagabond has always been a brand built around curiosity, quality and great guest experiences. This new DTC platform brings all of that together and gives customers a way to enjoy Vagabond wherever they are.”
