Two Beacons Vineyard, based on the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border, has harvested two weeks early.
The vineyard reported that the 2025 harvest is its strongest yet, with “exceptional quality” due to the continued warm weather this summer, resulting in good sugar and ripeness levels.
It also announced that it has planted a second vineyard plot, adding a further 12,000 vines to the existing 4,000, including Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier varieties.
Two Beacons added that, as well as its traditional method sparkling wines made from Pinot Noir, it will also be producing a range of premium traditional method sparkling wines from later this year.
These premium options will use Burgundy 228l barriques to add complexity and will undergo malolactic fermentation to soften and smooth the wines.
Ceri Phipps, founder of Two Beacons said: “The quality of this year’s harvest has been incredible, with the grapes being of an exceptional standard. In fact, we have harvested two weeks earlier than in previous years.
“This year has been fantastic for our wines with more award wins celebrating the quality within the region, and we can now look forward to even stronger seasons in the coming years with the planting of our second vineyard plot.”
