Tesco has launched a new Hungarian range across stores nationally and online.

The retailer worked with Copestick Murray, an established distributor of Eastern European wines, to develop a new range under the new Talisman brand.

Talisman Bull’s Blood promises a “contemporary and exciting approach to generate more mainstream interest and demand”.

Bull’s Blood is one of Hungary’s most famous wines and, according to legend, dates back to 1552. Despite this long heritage, Bull’s Blood has relatively low awareness in the UK and Tesco hopes the eye-catching Talisman branding will help to “elevate awareness of this exciting wine”.

Copestick Murray worked closely with Torley, one of Hungary’s oldest and most established wineries, to develop the rich and intense red wine.
