Australian wine brand Tempus Two has added its Copper series to its wine portfolio in the UK.

The Copper series, which follows on from the success of its Quartz series launch in September 2019, will be distributed in Sainsbury’s. The producer is promising an “exciting 12 months ahead” for the series in the UK.

Tempus Two Copper series offers hand-crafted old-world style wines where “the epitome of modern style meets classic finesse”.

The Copper Wilde Chardonnay is made from grapes sourced from two of Australia’s key Chardonnay producing regions: Hunter Valley and Tumbarumba. The wine is described as being “refreshing yet full-bodied” with a subtle oak spice that complements the white peach and melon characters.

Tempus Two winemaker, Andrew Duff, said: “The innovative Copper series is produced from some of Australia’s premium vineyards and is designed to taste as good as it looks.

“The elegant fruit from the cooler climate of Tumbarumba provides a refreshing backbone to complement the lush texture of the moderate climate Hunter Valley fruit, the result: a balanced wine that is just a little bit wilde – perfect for a sunny day in the garden or relaxing at home.

Australian Vintage chief operating officer for UK and Europe, Julian Dyer, said: “After a successful launch with the Quartz series in 2019, we’re thrilled to bring the Iconic Copper series to the UK customer. The unique embossed copper label is disruptive and brings style and sophistication to every table, that’s what the brand is all about.

“As consumers are looking to indulge in more premium products, the Copper series launch only strengthens the presence of Tempus Two in the UK which enables our consumers to immerse themselves further with this premium and expressive brand.”

Tempus Two Copper Wilde Chardonnay is available now in Sainsbury’s, priced at £15.
