Taste Champagne London 2020 has been postponed to March 2021 due to the uncertainty caused by coronavirus.

The event, which will now be held on March 10 next year, was originally due to be held in March this year and was later postponed until June 24.

The organiser said: “The impact of coronavirus on Champagne is particularly acute as a luxury and celebratory product, making this a tough year for every grower, house and importer.

“We are resolutely committed to bringing Taste Champagne back stronger than ever, to reconnect London’s wine trade, media and champagne-loving public, with Champagne and its stories and people. “Champagne is the beverage of celebration, and goodness knows we’ll all have more reason than ever to celebrate when we finally come through this!

“We’re not cancelling Taste Champagne London, merely putting it on ice for now!

“As a representative of one of the houses said to us recently, “Be sure that on our side we keep corks ready to pop and we pile up a huge inventory of love and happiness to spread on a recovering world!” Bring on that day!

“We very much look forward to bringing Taste Champagne back to London in March 2021.”
