English and Welsh wine industry body Wine GB has signed up the Sussex law firm Mayo Wynne Baxter as a patron and the headline sponsor of its conference, taking place on Thursday (July 16).
The event brings together producers, suppliers and other sector leaders from across England and Wales.
Wine GB said Mayo Wynne Baxter brought specialist expertise in areas essential to the wine sector, including land planning, commercial contracts, wine tourism and estate succession, supporting the realities of running, scaling and protecting modern wine businesses.
Neil Walker, Wine GB’s head of partnerships, said: “As the sector accelerates, we are aligning with partners who can help our members navigate complexity, seize opportunity and build long‑term resilience. This partnership is a clear example of that direction.”
Mayo Wynne Baxter will play a central role in the conference, including a headline speech focused on the legal and commercial challenges shaping the future of the UK wine industry and the support available to Wine GB members.
James O’Connell, corporate partner of the law firm and head of its vineyards and wineries team, said: “We’re proud to deepen our relationship with Wine GB and support the sector at such a pivotal moment.”
The conference takes place at 10 Union Street, near London Bridge, and more details can be found at the Wine GB website.
