Suntory Global Spirits is focusing on smaller formats in the UK, with Jim Beam expanding its 35cl range in the convenience channel.
From 28 September, 35cl bottles of Jim Beam Pineapple and Jim Beam Black Cherry became available, as the company responds to growing demand for smaller, more affordable spirit formats.
The move follows a similar announcement from AB InBev last week, which also said it was prioritising smaller pack sizes.
Suntory said the launch was in response to Nielsen data showing that fractional formats (20cl–50cl) are growing while traditional full-sized spirits are in decline.
Looking ahead, Suntory added that it planned to launch further fractional formats, including Jim Beam White and Jim Beam Pineapple, in 2027.
Nick Temperley, MD of UK & Ireland at Suntory Global Spirits, said: “We’re seeing a real shift in how shoppers are buying spirits, and fractional formats are right at the heart of it.
“For convenience and wholesale, where choice, price point and smart use of shelf space all matter, that shift is a big opportunity for us.”
