Club Soda has announced the full line-up of speakers for its No, Low and Mid-Strength Summit, taking place on 6 and 7 October at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre in Waterloo.

The event brings together producers, founders, industry leaders, policymakers and buyers to discuss trends in the no, low and mid-strength drinks space.

Among them, Stephen Morgan MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, is set to speak via a pre-recorded video address.

Club Soda said that Morgan’s virtual appearance marks the first time a government minister has specifically addressed the no, low and mid-strength sector at the conference.

Notable speakers also include representatives from low & no brands, including Kate Emlyn Jones, head of marketing at Botivo; Mark Wong, founder of Impossibrew; and Luke McFayden, head of sales at Three Spirit.

The conference will also hear from representatives of major alcohol companies, including Serena Smith, head of category at Heineken, as well as retail leaders such as Vanessa Pearson, trading manager for BWS at Ocado.

Industry organisations represented at the event will include Alcohol Change, KAM Insight, The Drinks Trust and Drinkaware.

On Morgan, Laura Willoughby MBE, founder of Club Soda, said: “Having a Government minister address the sector for the first time is a real moment. It has never happened before, and it signals that the Government is taking notice of what this sector can deliver for both the economy and public health.”
