Santa Rita Estates has created a new UK-focused role within its European team, which it says will “further reinforce” the commitment it has to the UK market.

Manny Doidge will take on the role of Business Manager-GB where she will work in close partnership with Santa Rita’s distributors. Doidge will work on building and developing the company’s distributor and customer relationships, creating new business opportunities and an element of marketing and events, alongside data analysis, to ensure that the Santa Rita Estates brands are kept relevant to the UK market.

Doidge has worked in the premium wine sector for more than 20 years, and her career includes positions at Paragon Vintners, Pernod Ricard and Lanson. She has gained significant experience in the commercial arena and she is also skilled at wine making, marketing and brand development.

Commenting on her new role she said: “I am delighted to be joining a company with real heritage, authenticity and such international brands. I am very much looking forward to joining the small but perfectly formed European team, the role is an exciting one and with the Santa Rita Estate brands continuing to perform well on a global basis I look forward to the challenge of building on the success we have achieved within the UK market.”

Export director Europe, Terry Pennington, said: “This new appointment further reinforces the commitment we have to the UK market. Despite a turbulent political and economic climate, Santa Rita Estates will continue to invest in this market, and we are very much looking at the long-term goals and with our new partnerships in place we are certainly well placed to achieve these ambitions.”
