Female-founded RTD tequila brand Pimentae has secured £1.5m in funding, led primarily by FIGR Ventures, a fund known for backing early-stage consumer businesses.

The funding round also included participation from Revenge Capital, Solo Investments and entrepreneurs Puneet and Poonam Gupta.

The new capital will support Pimentae’s plans to scale UK retail partnerships, strengthen its presence in travel retail and expand into European markets, beginning with Germany and the Netherlands.

Founded in 2021 by friends Wynter Karo and Alice Parmiter, Pimentae has quickly built a strong following for its premium tequila offerings. The brand is now stocked in John Lewis, Waitrose, Ocado, British Airways and The Co-op, as well as across hospitality venues and, most recently, Picturehouse cinemas.

On the new funding, Karo said: “This raise marks a defining moment in Pimentae’s journey. With new strategic firepower behind us, we’re ready to unlock major growth across UK retail and EU markets. We’re especially proud to have brought on investors who share our values and vision – from championing female-led innovation to rethinking the future of premium drinks through a lifestyle lens.”

Ellie Craig, portfolio director at FIGR Ventures, added: “Pimentae stands out in the RTD space by combining premium quality with cultural relevance and beautiful designs. During diligence, our consumer panel confirmed what we suspected: this brand isn’t just liked by its target consumer – it’s loved.”
