Pickering’s Gin has released its 2016 vintage of Sloe Gin and for the first time it is introducing this variant in a 70cl format.

The team said that 12 months ago they “tucked away” vats of Pickering’s Gin, loaded with sloe berries, in a corner of their Summerhall Distillery.

A spokesman said: “Pickering’s Gin lends just the right amount of dry spice to the rich, sweet flavour of sloe berries. The result is a wonderfully smooth, slightly spicy sip with flavours of red cherry and toasted almonds. Wonderful served neat with ice, or splashed into a glass of Prosecco for a festive treat.”

Traditionally the company has produced its sloe gin in half-sized 35cl bottles, but as a result of consumer demand it is now introducing Pickering’s Sloe in a 70cl size, priced at £26.
