Partridges is launching a new Chelsea Flower Gin to commemorate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19.

The launch also coincides with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which takes place close to Partridges’ flagship store in Duke of York Square.

No. 2 Chelsea Flower Gin is a bergamot-infused London Dry Gin, which has been described as “elegant, indulgent and rounded with body and freshness”. Notes of bergamot led but there is also a medley of citrus and coriander with hints of lemon tart and vanilla, according to the family-run grocer.

The gin, which is priced £3.99 for 5cl and £29.95 for 50cl, has been created in collaboration with the Dunnet Bay Distillers in Scotland.  It joins the Original Chelsea Flower Gin, which is made using 19 botanicals, including rose petals, marigold, verbena, cassia bark and juniper.

John Shepherd, managing director, Partridges, said: “Gin is a quintessential British drink and as a Royal Warrant Holder to HM The Queen we are honoured to celebrate the wedding of her grandson Prince Harry to Meghan Markle and send all our best wishes to the happy couple.”
