Wine importer North South is hosting its Ten Years Young portfolio tasting on March 7 as it celebrates a decade in the industry.

North South was set up in 2014, and now has around 35 producers in its portfolio, with The Wine People, De Bortoli and Reh Kendermann as co-shareholders. Last year, it became the UK’s first B Corp certified wine importer.

To commemorate the year that North South was established, the upcoming tasting will allow attendees to taste several new additions to North South’s portfolio, including 2014 vintage wines. Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend two masterclasses as well as drop-in sessions with the company’s sustainability manager Rebecca Murphy.

North South’s managing director Kim Wilson, who also founded the company, said: “We hit the ground running from day one and haven’t really stopped…We’re all faced with falling consumption, duty at its highest, cost of living increases and high interest rates. However for North South Wines, we will not let this stand in our way!

“We need to work smart and listen to our customers and more importantly the consumer. We have a 5-year road map in place and will be working towards this. The portfolio is in a great place, and we have an amazing supply base to tackle the challenges head on with us and continue to grow.”

The North South Wines Ten Years Young portfolio tasting is being held at The Crypt on the Green in London.
