B Corp-certified importer and distributor North South Wines has significantly expanded its operations at its Oxfordshire HQ as part of the business’s ambitious growth strategy.

Based within Bicester Motion, the 444-acre future mobility estate in Oxfordshire, the wine importer has now moved buildings and increased its footprint from around 1,500 sq ft to 2,500 sq ft at the site. The new headquarters will house 37 staff and support the company’s expanding distribution and importer operations.

Founded in 2014, North South Wines has grown significantly since joining the Bicester Motion estate in 2023, with annual turnover rising from £25m to £40m. The company has also highlighted its sustainability credentials during that time, having become the UK’s first B Corp-certified wine importer in 2023.

Sustainability remains central to the business, with initiatives including the planting of more than 12,100 trees as part of its wider environmental commitments.

Founder and MD Kim Wilson, who grew up in Bicester, said the move would allow the business to continue scaling while remaining rooted in the local community.

“We’re incredibly excited to expand our presence at Bicester Motion. Moving into a larger space gives us the capacity we need to continue to grow our wine distribution operations while staying true to our sustainability commitments. Staying local is extremely important for us and we love being part of the site community as well as the wider Bicester community,” she said.

Daniel Geoghegan, CEO of Bicester Motion, added that the company’s responsible growth ambitions aligned closely with the wider ethos of the campus.

He commented: “Bicester Motion is home to businesses that are pushing boundaries and thinking differently about the future, so it’s fantastic to support North South Wines as they expand their operations with us. Their commitment to sustainability and responsible growth aligns strongly with the ethos of our community.”
