ZGM invests £5m in profile-raising
International wine producer ZGM is to spend almost £5 million on building its profile and launch more products in the UK.
The company, already a supplier of own-label wines to retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's and M&S, will spend some of the
money on importing and selling new branded and own-label wines to UK retailers. It also plans to launch a range of wine-based products later this year.
ZGM UK managing director Steve Howard said the company decided to invest so heavily in the UK after consumer and trade research
carried out last year revealed opportunities for
it to expand.
He said: "We aim to drive value over volume by launching premium wines based on consumer and market knowledge, and sourced by our expert wine makers.
"We look forward to working in partnership with UK retailers to deliver this strategy.".
