Jefford spotlights Southwest France
Wine writer and broadcaster Andrew
Jefford will introduce visitors to the London wine fair to the indigenous grape varieties of Southwest France, in a seminar that also looks at how different terroirs affect the grapes.
Malbec, Fer Servadou, Petit Manseng, Tannat and Negrette are among the varieties that will come under the microscope at 11.30am on May 21 in Excel's London Rooms 5 and 6, Southern Gallery.
The Southwest France stand will feature seven producers, and Dr Helen Savage of the Newcastle Journal will be there to share her knowledge of the region's wine and producers, and guide visitors through a range of AOCs, Vins de Pays and spirits.
Jefford's seminar will be followed by a buffet lunch, and places are limited - email email@example.com before May 9 to reserve your seat.
Southwest France is offering four OLN readers the chance to win two cases of wine each from the region. For your chance to win, just answer the following question: What is the main grape variety used in Madiran AOC?
Email your answer, along with your name, address and telephone number,
to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 30.
