Maverick Scottish brewer Brewdog has linked up with the Smokehead whisky brand for a new limited -edition brew. Paradox Smokehead is a 10% abv version of its Paradox stout, aged in Ian Macleod Distillers' whisky barrels . The beer has been given a £3.99 rrp for a 33cl bottle.

A new ale has been introduced by Thornbridge. Alecost (5.2% abv) is
a stout -style ale
that uses hops from Japan and New Zealand, blended with caraway seeds and costmary, a herb
also known as Alecost.
Cornish brewery Sharp's
has switched to new lightweight glass bottles. The brewery
says this will remove 150 tonnes of weight per year from its distribution fleet and reduce C 0² emissions by almost one tonne.
Shepherd Neame's Asian Collection, which includes Kingfisher , Sun Lik
and Asahi
beers, is being paired with Indian food in 330 Asda Stores across the UK.
