Ridgeview reveals plans for English Wine Week
Ridgeview Wine Estate has revealed its plans for English Wine Week (EWW), which – this year, for the first time - will comprise a series of virtual events from June 20 to 28.
Ridgeview is inviting customers to “enjoy a glass at home to toast English Wine Week” while also watching “A Glimpse Behind the Scenes at Ridgeview”, a digital film which shares insights from the producer’s chief executive, vineyard manager and its winemaker, into the craft of making Ridgeview traditional method English sparkling wine, “from vine to glass”.
The company said with tours and tastings currently restricted it is offering a link and a digital code to watch the film with every online wine purchase from now and throughout EWW.
Also during EWW, Ridgeview will also be collaborating with various partners on virtual tastings and events including the Wine & Spirit Educational Trust (WSET), the Wine Society and a live virtual tour and tasting hosted over Zoom by Ridgeview’s chief executive, Tamara Roberts, for the Brighton Chamber of Commerce Members.
The International Wine & Spirits Competition, of which Roberts is president, will also be hosting a competition to win a case of the Ridgeview collection of sparkling wines.
Ridgeview will also be continuing to offer free next weekday delivery, along with donating £2 for every bottle purchased to the charity Hospitality in Action. The producer’s online shop will be open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 4pm. The shop is open for drop-in sales of wines and gift sets or collection of pre-ordered items only.
The WSET Seminar with Brandon Barnham will take place on June 22, at 6pm.
Wine Society Instagram Live with Mardi Roberts from Ridgeview is on June 24, 5.30pm.
Brighton Chamber of Commerce Virtual Tour & Tasting with Tamara Roberts is on June 25, 3.30pm.
