Meantime on-pack promotion will send drinkers to Washington's Yakima Valley
Meantime is re-launching an on-pack promotion offering shoppers the chance to win a trip to the Yakima Valley in Washington State.
The brewer calls it the “global home of hop-growing” and has a core SKU called Yakima Red, a 4.1% abv ruby coloured ale using five different hops from the region.
The promotion kicks off today (June 1) and runs through August on more 1.5 million bottles of London Lager, London Pale Ale and Yakima Red.
It offers two winners and a friend each the chance to join Meantime founder Alastair Hook and brewmaster Ciaran Giblin on their annual hop-sourcing trip to the west coast of the USA.
Giblin said: “Yakima Valley is arguably the most celebrated hop growing region in the world, inspiring the name of our own Yakima Red ale, which contains five varieties of hops from the area.
“Since Meantime started brewing back in 2000, we’ve always been totally committed to seeking out and brewing with the very finest quality ingredients, something which our brewing team, alongside our founder Alastair are continually scouring the globe to find.
“Last year’s promotion was such a success that we’ve decided to do it again. This year we are delighted to offer four of our fans the chance to spend time with one of the true pioneers of the craft beer movement in the UK – all whilst sampling some of the finest hops in the world that will eventually go into making our award-winning beers.”
Runner up prizes including a home cinema system, a TV, two iPad Minis, an array of Meantime beers, brewery tours and dinner at the Greenwich-based restaurant and bar situated in the heart of Meantime’s brewery.
