Name change for Richmond
Richmond Ice Cream has changed its name to Richmond & Roncadin Ice Cream after merging with a German
own-label ice cream manufacturer.
The move was announced last week following a buyout by American investment company Oaktree at the end
of last year.
The new joint company has become the largest ice cream manufacturer in Europe, according to a spokesman.
James Lambert, group chief executive of R&R for the European and UK Ice Cream Board, said: "This name change takes place at an exciting time for Richmond. We have seen phenomenal growth over the past year and now, as R&R, we can
become a key player in the European
ice
cream market."
Richmond produces Nestlé
products
such as Fab and Rowntree's Fruit
Pastilles , plus
it has recently launched Fruitcrunch bars and Skinny Cow
range.
