Change at the top opens the contest out
It's been a long time since our last report, and a lot of things have happened in the topsy turvy world of the Premiership. A frantic Christmas period saw Arsenal and Manchester United emerge as title contenders, with Liverpool dropping away from the front pack and Chelsea, minus a large number of their squad, doing their best to keep in touch. Derby already seem doomed, and in the fight for the European places a host of teams have the potential now to challenge for fifth and sixth spot. In the FFL competition James Gillespie from Touchstone Wines has had a fantastic Christmas and now leads the standing with 322 points. Will the January transfer window benefit both him and you?
Manager of the Month
Uday Lal, of Lal's Off-licence in Wakefield, is December's Manager of the Month
with a cracking team performance of 115 points. Uday is in direct competition with his brother Ashvin and both have left the day-to-day running of their teams to their young sons. Uday's should be in line for a late Christmas present for winning his
dad a crate of Carlsberg. In the football-crazy north east, Kevin "The Messiah" Keegan returns to manage Newcastle - so is this the time to bring on board some of those goal-shy Geordie strikers?
