Pomerol-finish whisky released

Ian Macleod Distilllers has launched a limited edition Pomerol-finish version of its Six Isles blended Scotch.

The whisky has been finished in French oak casks from the Bordeaux wine- producing area.

The company said the Pomerol touch added herbal and chocolate notes to the smoky, spice character of the spirit.

Just 3,266 bottles of the 46% abv whisky have been produced and it has a rrp of £37.49.
