Molson Coors has expanded its RTD offering via a partnership with the Miami Cocktail Company.

The deal will see Molson Coors rollout a premium range of RTD organic-certified cocktails across the UK.

The Miami Cocktail Company originates from Wynwood Miami, and it produces two ranges of hand-crafted organic cocktails.

The Organic Spritz RTD range includes Margarita Spritz, Paloma Spritz, Mimosa Spritz, Sangria Spritz and Bellini Spritz. Each of the 25cl cans contains just 110 calories with no added sugar. The 4% abv drinks are also vegan-friendly and gluten-free.

The Small Batch Originals line of bottle organic cocktails are designed for sharing. The range includes the 12% abv Copper Pot Margarita, Sunset Sangria (9% abv) and Blood Orange Mimosa (8.4% abv), all available in 75cl formats.

The brand is currently stocked in Harvey Nicholls and will launch in 150 Waitrose stores across the UK this summer, as part of its initial UK rollout plan with Molson Coors.

Ross Graham, chief executive and co-founder, at Miami Cocktail Company, said: “We are excited to expand Miami Cocktail Company’s presence into one of the most discerning tastemaker markets in the world, and we are thrilled to have Molson Coors Beverage Company on board to lead those efforts.

“Our plan is to start and focus in the UK, followed by select European markets and Australia. This partnership provides us with the expertise and routes-to-market to scale our brand properly.”

“Consumers desire authenticity and transparency of ingredients. They are actively seeking products that complement their balanced lifestyles. We offer lower calorie cocktails made with honest ingredients without sacrificing what matters most – taste. We can’t wait to introduce our brand to the UK audience through Molson Coors Beverage Company this summer.”

Ali Pickering, marketing director at Molson Coors Beverage Company, said: “There is a clear trend towards ready-to-drink, on-the-go formats but we’re seeing consumers want something more than just convenience. It’s the desire for exciting new flavours and experience-led drinks which give a more premium, craft feel – that little something extra.

“The partnership with Miami Cocktail Company will embed us firmly into the higher-end cocktail market, and fulfils consumer demand for lower calorie, more natural ingredients that we’re increasingly seeing become a key driver of purchasing decisions.

“We’d expect it to be a resounding hit with UK consumers given its great taste and Miami-chic look-and-feel. This new partnership with Miami Cocktail Company continues our strategy to selectively expand our portfolio beyond beer and drive innovation within the UK alcoholic beverage market.”

The partnership follows Molson Coors announcing an exclusive partnership with Bodega Bay to further roll out its range of hard seltzers earlier this month.
