Wine importer Mentzendorff has named Justin Liddle managing director, effective immediately.

Liddle, who has served as interim managing director for the past seven months, replaces Andrew Hawes. Hawes will leave his position as Mentzendorff MD to become group Bollinger advisor for the UK market.

Mentzendorff’s  leading shareholder brands are Champagne Bollinger and Taylor’s Port.

“We would like to congratulate Justin on his new appointment as managing director,” said Etienne Bizot, chairman of Group Bollinger and Adrian Bridge, chairman of Taylor’s owner The Fladgate Partnership, in a company statement. “Having worked for Mentzendorff for sixteen years, Justin has an extensive knowledge of our business and the wider industry, coupled with a close working relationship with our portfolio of principals.”

The pair also thanked Hawes for his 20-year contribution to the business.
