Manchester Gin has announced its plans to “end the year with a bang” by introducing a Jeroboam-sized bottle of gin.

The 4.5-litre ‘showstopper’ bottle, which holds the equivalent of nine standard bottles, is being introduced in time for the festive season.

Manchester Gin, which is a small-batch gin, with only 500 standard-sized bottles made per run, is infused and inspired by botanicals synonymous to the North of England, such as dandelion and burdock. The Jeroboams will be introduced for two of their four styles: the Signature Gin and Raspberry.

The Signature Gin has a smooth, creamy finish and is recommended with premium Mediterranean tonic water and pink grapefruit. Alternatively, the team has created a cocktail for the variant called Manky Panky, which blends Signature Gin, Cochi Vermouth, Fernet Branca and dandelion & burdock syrup.

The Raspberry-infused gin has “gentle tones of summer fruit”, underpinned with a clear gin character. The cocktail suggestion for this gin is the Raspberry Gibson Martini, which blends this variant of gin, Lillet, apple cordial and cider vinegar.

A spokesperson for the company said: “If you are looking for a Christmas gift that will really wow them, a fabulous centerpiece for your New Year’s Eve party or just want to treat yourself to something special, Manchester Gin’s new Jeroboam combines its award-winning gins and stunning designs with ever more to share and is surely not one to be missed.”

The Jeroboams cost £375 each and will be on sale in Harvey Nichols and other regional retailers.
