Burgundy’s Louis Latour has joined the John E. Fells & Sons Ltd portfolio, known for its distribution of premium family-owned and produced fine wines.

Louis Latour was founded in 1797 and is regarded as one of Bourgogne’s most respected producers.

It is presently led by Florent Latour and his niece Eléonore Latour, who represent the 11th and 12th generations in the family-owned and family-run business.

The producer will formally join the John E. Fells portfolio from 15 September, at which point the company will have exclusive distribution of Louis Latour wines in the UK, excluding Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.

On the partnership, Euan Mackay, managing director of John E. Fells, said: “We are proud to announce our new partnership with Louis Latour. As a producer with an iconic legacy and a deep-rooted history in Burgundy, Louis Latour perfectly complements our portfolio of family-owned wineries from around the world.”

Florent Latour, president of Maison Louis Latour, added: “The UK has always been a special market for Louis Latour. John E. Fells’ longstanding commitment to independent producers of premium wines, combined with their market expertise, makes them the ideal partner for Louis Latour as we look to further our presence in the UK.”
