Kingsland Drinks has announced it has made “high-level executive changes” in order to focus on the strategic direction of the business. 

Andy Sagar has taken up the new role of executive chairman, after 14 years as managing director. This will enable him to focus on the company’s strategic growth agenda. 

Ed Baker will take on the role of managing director. Baker was previously the company’s finance director but he will now assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of Kingsland Drinks as well as developing the company’s ambition to be “the destination drinks company of choice”. 

Paul Wibberley, previously at Halewood Wine & Spirits, will replace Baker in the role of finance director, having joined Kingsland in October 2018.

Neil Anderson, marketing director, has left the business to explore new opportunities outside of the business.

Jon Eagle has stepped into the role of commercial director, taking an overall responsibility for sales and marketing. 

Sagar said: “We have made huge strides in improving the capability and scale of the company in recent years with significant investment in our asset base and people while utilising consumer insights as a driver of our decision-making process. It is an exciting time to shift my focus and leave the role of managing director in experienced, capable hands.”

Baker said: “There are significant growth opportunities across the category, with which Kingsland Drinks are well placed to support our partners. I am looking forward to a transformational and successful year ahead.”
