Keystone Brewing Group has been acquired by Great British Drinks Company, a newly formed business created by Paramount Retail Group.
This comes after Keystone Brewing Group filed multiple notices of intention (NOIs) to appoint administrators.
The first NOI, at the end of 2025, was described by Keystone as simply “a protective measure”.
“We have filed a notice of intent to appoint an administrator, which is a protective measure that allows us to keep trading as normal while we secure new investment or explore a potential sale,” said the company via a public statement.
The second NOI appears to have been filed earlier this month, roughly one month after the first.
In the £6.5m deal, it has been predicted that the takeover by a fellow Yorkshire company will save 145 jobs that could have been lost.
Brands presently under the Keystone portfolio include Black Sheep Brewery, Purity Brewing Co, Fourpure Brewing, Magic Rock Brewing, Big Drop, Hofmeister and more.
Many of the brands are recent additions, after Keystone announced that it was on an acquisition operation.
Under the ownership of Great British Drinks Company, it has been reported that the breweries under Keystone will be placed alongside producers like Saltaire Brewery, owned by the company.
No official comment has been given by Keystone Brewing Group on the latest news.
