JJ Whitley is launching a Violet Gin in time for World Gin Day this Saturday.

The latest release  – which has light purple hues – has been created with a blend of eight botanicals, including juniper, angelica root, coriander and liquorice, all complemented by a natural burst of violet.

The Violet Gin will join the brand’s existing range of spirits, which includes three gins (Elderflower, Nettle and London Dry), as well as two vodkas. The newcomer will be priced at £18.

Brand manager, Adam Georgiou, said: “Halewood specialises in innovative and artisanal craft spirits and has the ability to respond quickly to the fast-changing needs of its customers. As such, to meet consumer demand following the craze for pink gin, there was a desire to bring a distinctive new violet gin to market in time for the summer months and we of course obliged. With a heritage in launching unique flavours, JJ Whitley is positioned perfectly to capitalise on this sought-after expression, which will deliver stand-out on shelf and exciting creations served over the bar.”

The drink already has listings with online retailers, such as Amazon, Master of Malt and Drinks Supermarket, as well as on-trade listings.
