A no and low alcohol drinks producer has extended into the RTD sector.

Ish Spirits is introducing two drinks in RTD can format: Gin-ish & Tonic and Spritz-ish, described as “a bittersweet but well-balanced take on the Aperol Spritz”.

Each drink is under 75 calories per 25cl can, and they are made using only natural flavourings and botanical extracts.

Ish Spirits is a Copenhagen-based non-alcoholic spirits producer that launched its first two products – Gin-ish and Rum-ish in 2018. The products were first introduced in Scandinavia and hit the UK market last year.

The new RTDs will be available through Holland and Barrett online and in store and via Enotria & Co for the on-trade.

The company said: “With health continuing to be a key driver, especially in the current climate, demand will continue for delicious, grown-up products that lower alcohol alcohol and sugar consumption while living up to the most-loved classic cocktail flavours.”

The company hopes to grow awareness for its products early before the 2021 festival season, which it predicts will see increased demand for no and low alcohol options.

A spokesperson said: “The offering for no and low-alcohol options at events and festivals has not taken off yet but with solid NPD coming out of the sector and more festivals focusing on wellness and less hedonistic activities, 2021 will see the choice of range and availability grow in store and on site.”
