The International Beer Challenge (IBC) has announced that it will be open for entries on 8 December 2025.

The IBC is one of the longest-running packaged global beer competitions. It is open to breweries, retailers, importers and distributors, with over 80 categories to choose from.

This year, the competition received entries from almost 30 countries. The Supreme Champion in the Taste Awards went to Old Ale from Harvey & Son (Lewes) Ltd.

On the upcoming awards, IBC chairman, Jeff Evans said: “Once again, we start with a blank piece of paper. Who knows which breweries will walk away with the honours? The competition is open to everyone. Brewers big and small have profited from success in the competition.

“This is the chance to pick up an award that will massively help in establishing brands and products in the trade. We’ve seen many IBC winners prosper over the years, both nationally and internationally. If you think you have a beer that deserves attention, put it before our judges and let them tell the world about it. “

Commercial director, Samantha Halliday, added: “We’re excited to open entries for the 2026 International Beer Challenge, celebrating innovation and excellence in brewing from around the world. It’s a fantastic opportunity for breweries of all sizes to showcase their beers on a global stage and gain recognition among industry leaders.”

The IBC will be open for registration on 8 December and close on 29 May. More information can be found via the website www.internationalbeerchallenge.com
