A spokesperson for Hook Norton has confirmed that the Oxfordshire brewery is up and running, after a fire destroyed part of the stables earlier this week.

The spokesperson said fire investigators are working on what caused the fire, and he confirmed that the horses were out in the field before the fire started. He added that beer is still being brewed and the café and shop remain open.

Managing director James Clarke issued a thank you to local emergency services and staff members.

“A personal and heartfelt thank you to everyone involved,” he said on the day of the incident. “Everyone is safe, and tomorrow is a new day. Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service, National Grid, Environment Agency, and of course my superb Hook Norton brewery team. An amazing multi-agency response mitigated the damage, and the stables will rise again.”
