The managing director of Freixenet Copestick has confirmed the departures of both the company’s sales director and the grocery controller.

Robin Copestick said sales director Helena Martin (pictured) and grocery controller Trish Lorimer will leave the business.

“Both Helena and Trish have played a big part in the incredible growth and success of Freixenet Copestick and its brands,” Copestick said. “Both leave with our best wishes.”

The company confirmed that Chris Ellis, “who has extensive experience in the wine and broader drinks industry”, has taken on the role of interim sales director.

According to LinkedIn, Ellis spent 16 years at Pernod Ricard, including five and a half as commercial director.

Drinks Retailing understands that the departures of Martin and Lorimer are not connected.
