Hambledon Vineyard in Hampshire has been approved as an official programme provider for the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and will be offering WSET Level 1 and Level 2 courses starting this Autumn.

All courses will be taught by Hambledon’s education manager Katrina Smith, who joined the team earlier this year. Smith has a background in wine retail, logistics and tourism.

She said: “We have been running fun and informal themed wine tastings for some time now, but delivering WSET courses takes our education and visitor offering to the next level. These courses are designed to give you more confidence with all things wine and no prior knowledge is needed for Level 1 or 2. So, if you want to get into the wine trade, already work in the industry or want to know more about what is in your glass, these classes are perfect for you. And what better place to learn than at England’s oldest and commercial vineyard, where you can see winemaking in action and taste our award-winning sparkling wine produced on the finest Hampshire chalk!”

Courses cost from £175 per person.
