Specialist importer Hallgarten & Novum Wines appointed 18 new team members in a recruitment drive across the first half of 2025.

The recruits are the latest in an ongoing expansion, which has seen the Hallgarten workforce expand from 100 to 150 since the start of 2024, soon after the company’s acquisition by Coterie Holdings.

Hallgarten said that the latest appointments made it stronger in customer services, marketing, brand management, logistics and sales.

MD Andrew Bewes said: “The past year and a half has been transformational for the business, as we have strived to achieve balanced, significant growth across all sectors, while improving our service to customers.

“We have invested in systems and people across the entire business, and we take great pride in being increasingly recognised as a company that people want to work for and want to do business with.

“Our quest to attract the most talented people to Hallgarten underpins our commercial and strategic plans, and our absolute commitment to customers, both old and new.”

Among the recent recruits are two new national account manager for the off-trade.

Andy Barker previously worked in a similar role at Freixenet Copestick and Tom Curvis was business manager at Rhône wine firm Famille Perrin.
