Hallgarten & Novum has added Rhône Valley producer Domaine Graeme and Julie Bott to its portfolio.

The wines from the pair will now be available exclusively in the UK through Hallgarten for both the hospitality and retail sectors.

Graeme, originally from New Zealand, and Julie, a Rhône native, met while working at Domaine Ogier and began their own vineyard from the ground up.

According to Hallgarten, the duo inherited no land and began by planting the first parcel in their garden in the village of Vérin, Condrieu in 2015. They released their first vintage in 2016.

Now working with 7ha of land across Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph and Seyssuel, they specialise in small-production, low-intervention, handcrafted wines.

Graeme and Julie commented: “We are extremely proud and motivated to start this new chapter with Hallgarten & Novum Wines and Coterie Holdings. Their premium, high-quality distribution and long-term vision strongly resonate with our Domaine. It also opens exciting perspectives for the future, allowing our wines to reach an even wider audience and be discovered and enjoyed by more wine lovers.”

Robert Mathias MW, Hallgarten’s Rhône buyer, added: “We are very excited to strengthen our relationship with the talented Domaine Graeme & Julie Bott. The pair’s entrepreneurial, pioneering approach, coupled with the quality and clear sense of terroir in their wines, brings something distinctive to supplement our already strong Rhône offering, a region Hallgarten has embraced since the company’s inception in 1933.”
