Greenall’s is launching Blood Orange & Fig Gin, to add to its zero-sugar flavoured gin range.

The new variant will be available exclusively at Sainsbury’s from this month, priced at £16 for one-litre.

The launch follows a strong year for the brand. Greenall’s flavoured gin range grew twice as fast as the category, according to the producer Quintessential Brands.  

Growth was supported by the brand’s biggest-ever marketing campaign last summer.

The new variant is expected to tap into the growing popularity of orange-flavoured gins. It is made from Greenall’s Original London Dry Gin infused with natural blood oranges and a twist of fig.

Russell Kirkham, marketing director for Quintessential Brands UK, said: “Our Greenall’s zero-sugar flavoured gins have proven to be a hit in the UK, especially Greenall’s Wild Berry which was one of the top five performing spirits of 2019. With research showing a clear consumer demand for orange flavoured gins, we’re excited to be adding Blood Orange & Fig into the mix – a flavour that we’re confident will be a huge hit this summer.

The new variant will roll out in other channels from April 2020, supported by a dedicated consumer campaign this summer.
