Wine company Goedhuis Waddesdon has announced Cat Lomax as its new head of buying.

Lomax, who was named Retail Buyer of the Year in 2020, has served as a wine buyer for a handful of UK drinks retailers including Laithwaites, Waitrose, Majestic and Marks & Spencer. 

She will be officially joining the team on May 13 2024, working alongside commercial director Helen Miller and the wine buying team to develop the Goedhuis Waddesdon portfolio.

Speaking of her new role, Lomax said: “Having dedicated my career to bringing high quality wines to UK customers, I am especially proud to have been given the opportunity to work so closely with such an impressive roster of truly world-class producers. I look forward to bringing my commercial expertise and experience to the fine wine arena, and to supporting the business in its ambitious goals.”
