A perry from Germany has been won the Supreme Champion Trophy in the 2026 International Cider Challenge 2026.

Tête de Cuvée Perry 2025 is produced by Germany’s Böhm Ciderwerkstatt.

A Highly Commended award went to Sadaharu Aoki Saya 2025 from Tamba Wine, a cider that also secured a trophy in the rosé cider category.

In the Design & Packaging Awards, a silver medal for best label design was awarded to Norway’s Skamløs Forbuden Frukt/Ramsen Gård, while a variety of Savanna premium ciders were recognised for best bottle design, best bottle range and best can design.

The Taste Awards were judged by a senior judging panel, led by cider writer and ICC chair Adam Wells.

He said: “Although the number of entries this year was down a little bit compared to the last two, it was another fantastic vintage of ICC entrants, with outstanding ciders submitted and uncovered from around the world.

“Broadening our judging panel to include not only judges from all areas of cider but expert palates from the worlds of wine and foods meant the process was more rigorous than ever, and every medallist and trophy winner can be rightfully proud of their achievement.

“Incredibly, each of our panel’s trophies went to a different country, showing the amazing global spread of the drink.

“For the fifth year in a row our Supreme Champion came from a different category – and this year I’m especially delighted that it was a triumph for perry, as the superb Téte de Cuvée 2025 from Germany’s Böhm Ciderwerkstatt emerged victorious.”

Pear/Perry Cider: Tête de Cuvée Perry 2025, Böhm Ciderwerkstatt, Germany
