Felix Solis has launched two new sparkling wines under its flagship Vina Albali range.

The wines are the outcome of a new burst of activity from the producer, whereby it has been investing heavily in innovation and research to determine the styles of wine that will appeal to UK consumers.

The two new sparkling wines, Vina Albali Brut NV and Vina Albali Rosado Sec, are produced using the Charmat method.

UK managing director, Richard Cochrane, said: “With the release of our new Vina Albali range we are taking advantage of the fast-growing sparkling wine market, which in recent years has been driven by Prosecco. By producing these wines under the Charmat method, we believe we have a strong proposition that will satisfy the tastes of existing Prosecco drinkers while allowing them to discover new and exciting sparkling wines from different countries.”

Made from a blend of Chardonnay and traditional Spanish varieties, Airen and Viura, Vina Albali Brut NV is pale gold in colour with an abv of 11%. Vina Albali Rosado Sec is a blend of Tempranillo and Viura, which produces a delicate rose colour with flavours of red fruits (strawberry and raspberry), tropical fruit and grapefruit.
