Hampshire-based English fizz producer Exton Park is set to join the portfolio of UK importer Mentzendorff from 1 September.

Founded in 2003 on a 25ha single vineyard in the South Downs, Exton Park was established by its late founder, Malcolm Isaac MBE. The completion of the winery came in 2011, followed by a premium events space, Exton Hall, in 2021.

The estate’s Reserve Wines, dating back to 2011, are a fixture in fine wine retailers, while its Limited Release vintages are produced only in exceptional years. The full range will be available via Mentzendorff, including a number of category firsts. These include a sea-aged sparkling wine and a 100% Pinot Meunier rosé. Exton Park is also responsible for some of the longest lees-aged vintages in English sparkling.

Robin McMillan, CEO at Exton Park, said: “After 15 years of dedicated investment and development at Exton Park Vineyard, Malcolm Isaac has left behind a unique legacy, driven by passion and an unwavering commitment to quality. We are now thrilled to be collaborating with Mentzendorff and their team, where numerous synergies and opportunities undoubtedly await.”

Mentzendorff MD Justin Liddle added: “It is without a doubt that English sparkling wine is an incredibly exciting category at present, and the pioneering Exton Park forms a natural addition to our portfolio of exceptional producers.”

All Exton Park wines are made from estate-grown fruit. The estate’s sustainability credentials are underlined by its founding membership of WineGB’s Sustainable Wines of Great Britain accreditation.

Mentzendorff, which represents family-owned estates such as Champagne Bollinger, Taylor’s Port and Klein Constantia, said Exton Park’s innovative approach and focus on estate-grown wines align closely with its portfolio values.
