Port and wine distributor Fells has appointed a new managing director, as former MD Steve Moody takes on the role of chairman.
Euan Mackay will step into the MD position, after Moody, who has worked with the company for 31 years, announced that he would be transitioning to Fells’ chairman last September.
Mackay first began working in the wine industry in 1987 with Tanner Wines. He then joined Symington Family Estates in 1996, and was promoted to commercial director in 2018.
Last year, Mackay also showed his support for the Drinks Retailing and WSTA Crush the Red Tape campaign, calling on the government to retain the temporary tax bracket for wine.
The changes to Fells’ management team come as part of the company’s plans to develop its leadership strategy and continue its growth.
