The Equal Members Education & Mentorship Programme has now opened for entries.

The programme is organised by Equal Measures UK, the leading non-profit driving intersectional inclusion in the drinks and hospitality industry.

This year, it is also supported by the WSET and the Gérard Basset Foundation, through which the programme offers fully funded WSET courses at Levels 1, 2, and 3 in spirits.

According to the non-profit, places will be given to people working in the UK cocktails, spirits and wine industries from Black, Asian and other minority ethnic backgrounds.

A certain number of spaces will also be given to other demographics who have faced systemic barriers to their career progression due to their identity, including queer and neurodivergent people.

Previous Equal Measures’ beneficiary, Michael Hilton, said: “Equal Measures has been a huge help to me, allowing to meet and learn from many incredible people, including my mentor Nate, whose invaluable advice has helped navigate many a crisis.

“Equal Measures has also supported me to study for my WSET Level 2 and 3 in spirits, which has opened up a whole new world of understanding and job prospects.”

To apply, candidates can visit the Equal Measures website or go directly to the application link.
