Enoitalia, the largest privately-owned Italian winery, is introducing an organic and vegan Prosecco to the UK market.

Alberto Nani comes from the heart of the DOC Prosecco area and “perfectly showcases the Glera grapes from the region”, according to the company.

Andrea Ruggeri, commercial director, said: “The UK is still one of the largest export markets for Prosecco in the world and we have created Alberto Nani prosecco to be soft and fruity to perfectly suit the UK palate.

“We are confident that it will be a hit with the UK on and off trade.”

Alberto Nani Prosecco has been made without the use of pesticides and with wine is also vegan.

It joins other Italian wines in the Enoitalia portfolio, including Voga Italia, Terra Venetica, Farmers of Wine, Lignum Vitis and Red Fire.

Enoitalia was established in 1986 and it produced 98 million bottles of wine in 2018 with 75% of production exported to more than 80 countries across four continents.
